By the sounds of the announcement on the news page re: sales of Commodores, it looks like the VE is growing very steadily in popularity.

Good to see others think Holden got it right with the VE.

The sales of the V8 surprised me however, especially with the cost of fuel. But each to their own, and they have their reasons.

Could probably do without the recalls, but I think that was going to be expected, it is a new model. Now to book it in to get the fuel line fixed.

Regards

Bob

"Leave out the fleet sales?"....what? How else are they supposed to fudge the figures and make it look like Australian cars outsell foreign cars...?

The actual highest selling private sales car has been for many many years, and I think still may be, the Toyota Corolla in all it's various guises. Same with the good ole' USA where "American is best"...Corollas outsell everything else.

Add in the fleet buys, and Commodore and Falcon appear do a very good impression of crapping all over the other sales figures. But it just ain't the case, sad to say.

Sales are sales - take out whatever demographic suits your agenda and of course your case sounds better - bs argument actually because it ignores the group who buy their cars 12 mth old second hand as it is far more cost effective that way. If there were no fleet sales many would be forced to buy them new as they need/want a large car. Your argument is bs to be truthful.

well actually ive noticed with our fleet guys is that they are buying more of the compact awds like the rav4's x-trail's etc, as well as heaps of subarus, toyota, and a few mazdas, why, they finally worked out they make more money from less depreciation on the alternative sort of vehicles, mind you there are still heaps of commodores and falcons,

we also got a few ve utes the other day to :)
