Hi guys,

I've come across an opportunity to buy a full 2012 VE Senator interior (seats, door trims etc.), and wanted to know if it would all fit directly into my 2006 VE Calais? Would all electrical wiring in the seats be simple enough to have hooked up, or would you lose those functions? Are the door trims the same size and hence direct fits?

Any help would be appreciated, cheers.

All SWB VE sedan doors are completely identical, from Omega to Senator, as such the door trims will be a straight swap.

As for the seats - depending on what functionality they have, vs what functionality your Calais seats have, they may require more wiring.

Being a Calais, your wiring should be the same. Should all fit great.

Thanks for the comments guys.

If the wiring's all the same, would that mean the center console would fit right in too? eg. touch screen stereo, sat nav etc. (my calais already has stock sat nav included from factory)

I was referring to the seat wiring, dont know about the rest. Maybe the later VE dash stuff is different.

Just found out the full Senator exhaust system is available too. Would the full system including extractors be a direct bolt on? Would a tune be required? Remember it's a 2012-2013 Senator and I have a 2006 VE Calais. I'm guessing the Senator exhaust may give me small power gains, and more importantly to me, a better V8 sound?

I know many will recommend a good aftermarket exhaust, but for the time being, this is a cost effect opportunity for me and I have no plans of future big mods like cams etc. Only looking to give my car slight power gains and better sound.

Really appreciate the technical help and advice if possible.
