Time to get rid of the feature from cars then.

But then they'll have to invent some other gadget.

Coz it is the list of gadgets that sells cars these days.

Was offered the maps (Nav) option when purchased mine in 2009. When I replied with a "no thanks" the dealer looked at me strange and said "you'll regret it!". I've never regretted it - not one single day. The option price was ridiculous, and the never-ending upgrade cycle (only to eventually and inevitably be told the support would end) would make it all a waste of money.

I did think about it, and was going in thirds with another couple of JC’s members.

But held back, good thing I did,
As the guy that was trying to sell the so called 2020 IQ update version was a scammer on eBay, and didn’t have a good rating, possibly for his financial gain by deception I guess.
I believe he got busted for copyright or similar,
And account/profile was deleted.
