Hey, I'm new on this, so sorry if i piss anyone off. I'm a major holden enthusiast. I've recently purchased a 2010 ESeries 2 Maloo ute. it looks immaculate at the moment, ill post a photo below. BUT what I'm interested to find out is wether the rear end on my ute is at the standard ride height, and what is the best lowering options.. I've spoken to friends who have bagged their utes, and other mates who have just changed springs. its an amazing car so id rather spend the money and do it properly. all i want to do is lower the rear about an inch. i am happy with the height of the front of the ute. I'm wondering who on here has got a nice maloo, and if they could show me a few photos and different options of their cars. Holden won't tell me #### all about the suspension, so id rather have some insight before i go spending money and possibly regretting it. after that I'm going to upgrade the exhaust. I'm in the perth area and i can get trade prices on most of the different exhaust systems, but what are other maloo owners thoughts on the best note.. surprisingly ive heard a few people say they really like the x force system. I do want to go with a full system, including extractors. also would prefer stainless steel if its going to be more reliable in the long run. anyway thanks for taking the time to read, hopefully get a decent insight from a few members on here! cheers.
It looks like it already been lowered (lower then my 09 clubbie was) so get a jack under it and look at the springs. That cos you don't own a Holden it's a HSV. Contact a HSV dealer but they'll only tell you what's factory unless they work on it. It may have been optioned with walkinshaw springs but get under the ute and look!!!!!
Its been lowered.... See what colour the springs are, and if there's any ID tags on them. Standard HSV springs are black, dampers are red.
