i have a ve series 1 ute and want to install a wireless reverse camera also. i have an omega, i have a separate monitor in which i will view the camera, is there a reversing active cable anywhere else inside the cabin of the car that i can get my feed from? (kick panel, fuse box) as ive read the series 1 unit HU doesnt have a reverse function. or is worth tapping into a hard active for my monitor and just mounting a small switch? what other options do i have? what i really need is someone who knows the colour of a reverse switched active and ground somehwere inside my cabin as i dont have a multimeter ! any help be greatly appreciated! (i have tapped into the tailight for the actual camera)
cheers!

the omega doesn't have a screen

Hence why most people put in a full color VE unit and reflash the SIC to read double of triple gauge and then get all of the options for rev cam etc etc

Just to clarify a couple of things, the video connector on the IQ has 20 pins, not 18.
The pin information is as follows:
1: DVD Video Signal (-)
2: Coaxial DVD Video Signal
3: Coaxial Shield
4: Camera Video Signal
5-6: Not Used
7: Video Blue Signal
8: Video Green Signal
9: Low Reference
10: Video Red Signal
11: Drain Wire
12: Video Synchronization Signal
13-20: Not Used

Pins 1 & 2 are used for RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment ie: DVD player)
Pins 3 & 4 are used for the reverse camera
Pins 7 to 12 are used for the HSV EDI module.

I had my rear camera enabled over the weekend by doubledip, I am looking to hook this up soon

3: Coaxial Shield

Pins 3 & 4 are used for the reverse camera
Pins 7 to 12 are used for the HSV EDI module.

I understand the pins for the camera are 3 and 4, however exactly which pins are those on the IQ unit? Even if someone can photoshop the respective numbers on them

Cheers :)
