ve series 2 ss power pack upgrade ?

hi have booked my car in for a power pack upgrade, as far as i know they are putting a full difillipo exgaust and extracters,with vcm otr and a maf tune not mafless. a few high performance shops told me approx 250 rwkw, can any one please tell me if this is the what to go for 250 plus rwkw, also the system is 2 1/2 inch full stainless steel. the car has travelled 1500km's . i prefer to retain maf as well, any advice would be greatly appreciated. best wishes sickooli.

Those mods would see a 6L push out at least 250rwkw. Most performance houses underquote the figures so that if they get a less than ideal result, the figures don't bite them in the arse.

Hopefully they're changing the cats out as well.

Only 1500km on the clock?

I'd wait mate. At least till 5000km. I know we have different cars, but I noticed an improvement to my engine over the first few thousand k's.... and it didnt feel like it settled in till after 10,000km. To me 1500km is far to early to be tuning. Exhaust and extractors fine.... but I reckon you'll get more benefit from tuning if you wait a bit.

I'd also be inclined to let everything settle. They do settle quite a lot. 5000 is a pretty good mark.

Yeah I agree, I got mine done through VCM after the first 5000Km check/service.
