VE Sportwagon rear mufflers

I have just purchased a 2011 SV6 wagon auto to replace a MY9.5 international wagon that was written off. The old wagon just had a single exhaust, the new one has twin exhaust with dual pipes on each muffler. The exhaust is quite a bit louder, especially around 2k to 3k. The boxes look to be original, maybe from a V8?. My question is will the exhaust be quieter if I put the original single outlet mufflers on.

Yes it will be quieter with the single outlets on.

The V8 models had the dual tips and it has a slightly different muffler route inside the muffler so hence the different sound from the V6.
