Ve SS kings ssl springs hitting strut dust cover

I recently had kings ssl springs and monroe short shocks fitted all round.
Since fitting i had a audible knock in the rear right hand side.
Upon further investigation i have noticed yellow paint on the outer side
Of the black plastic dust cover of the rear right shock.

Before anyone asks, yes the dust covers were cut the 50mm recommended on theinstall iinstructions. Perhaps even 60mm

Has anyone else encountered this? Or do you know what may be causing this?
