I fitted a set of mufflers from new redline SS (twin out on each muffler) to my sv6 sidi

It's louder than i expected which doesn't bother me :)

Now i noticed some drone at steady acceleration around 60kmh at 1500 rpm..

This is a bit odd as I assumed that factory mufflers would not drone at all

Anybody else had the same experience ?

The dual outlets were designed for the higher exhaust flow of the V8s, so with a lower gas speed, there is more turbulence in the mufflers, creating the drone sound. You wouldn't necessarily have the same drone with a straight through design as there is less deviation of flow.

mmmm read quite a bit about it but nobody mentioned drone...

i guess it's because it's hardly noticeable and people are not as particular as I'am :)
