Ve SS Series 2 Hardcover wont open!

Hey guys! My 2010 series 2 hardcover wont open, the key doesnt works but the button wont realise the arms when pushed in! Anybody have and sneaky tips/tricks to get it open, would be much appreciated

Get a couple of mates to help. Get them to push down on both rear corners of the hard lid to take the load off the latches.
Then try releasing via the button again.
