VE SS went through floodwater

Hey guys, my dad went through floodwater (3am in morning pissing down rain so couldnt see a thing) the water was upto about 200mm under the window, stalled in 2nd gear
after about 10minutes he got it started again didnt sound to good and wouldnt move, after getting himself out of car out of the water after 20minutes or so the car drifted back about 100m or so where the water wasnt as deep.
we got it back home on a towtruck, but just curious what steps could we take to see if we can get it running, pretty sure its hydrolocked, we know theres water in the engine.
We were gonna start with pulling the plugs out dumping the oil turning the engine over by the pulley couple times and filling her back up with oil put in new plugs and see how she goes, is there anything else that should be done?

Don't waste your time cleaning and drying it. It is a write-off, and don't let others tell you that it is not.
From first hand experience of my daughter's VS in the Newcastle 'Pasha Bulka' storm, she had to leave it where it was parked, water came about 100mm above the door lower sill line.
The NRMA insurance 'fixed' it.
Front seats were put back missing bolts, console was broken pulling it out and not replaced, carpets were dried and put back in, looked crap.
Auto transmission failed 3 months later, numerous electrical problems started as the car got older, and eventually failed rego inspection due to rust in all the lower door hinges.
