Hi,

I have a 06 Ve ssv with a really weird air conditioning issue, when I'm driving after around 15 mins the air conditioner stops cooling then it just does it a random times.
Once You turn the climate control on then off it works again.

I called a mobile auto electrician he said my system is gased and running perfect. He cleared all errors from the bcm. We ran the car for a while it was cooling ok then I turned it from cold to 25degrees and back to cold and it stop cooling but the climate control was on cold, His diagnostics computer showed that the climate control is asking for a higher temp (also the voltage was around 14-16v). He has never seen this issue before and said it was the radio head unit face as I had a wiggly c/c control knob. I replaced the face and he programmed it, this did not fix the issue. He is no longer answering my calls as he doesn't know what it is.

A friend said it could be the body control module does anybody have any ideas of this issue.

Thanks for your replies in advance

Tim

.. don't also forget the BCM shuts off the compressor if you rev it over 4500
and then waits 30 secs before testing engine revs (and if less than 4500 should re-switch compressor on)

Thanks for your reply I didn't know that, but it turns off when I'm just idling too,so I turn it off then on and it starts again.

I'm thinking to just purchase a second hand bcm and get it cloned hopefully it will fix the issue I can't think what else it could be.

Could be the air-conditioning internal clutch. when they get to the end of their life they start to intermittently stop working. air-conditioning specialist can diagnose for you.
