hey all,

ill list off the mods on the car to start with

Orsomm OTR
Hurricane 4>1 1" 7/8 headers
200 CPI hi flow cats
2.5 inch perry/HM catback.

so basically OTR + full exhaust system
i have had the car mafless tuned and run up on the dyno.

now before any tuning was done - just bolt on mods the car produced 210rwkw

after mafless and custom tuning the car now produces 238rwkw

the tuner did mention that my aftermarket rims may be causing me to lose some power and that his dyno is known to read a few kw lower than other mainline dynos. so assuming that my car rounded up to 240rwkw
does that still seem like a low result for the above mentioned mods?
my rims are 20" Zenetti kaotiks - which might be heavier than my old 19" SSV rims. ( i have not weighed the rims so im not entirely sure about this)

any insight appreciated.

cheers, timmo

Sounds pretty low to me. Got a mate with an otr (not sure the brand), xforce 2.5" full exhaust and a tune and he's putting 260 odd on the road. He's got 20's on his too and it's an auto.

Did he explain how your rims could cause you to lose power? Doesn't sound right...

just the weight difference from the 19" stockies to the aftermarket 20"s

i mean dont get me wrong, the car feels amazing to drive now. the throttle response is ALOT better and i can feel more power for sure.

i was just hoping for close to 260rwkw

Looks fine to me.

The 6L will produce under 200RWKW standard.

So exhaust and OTR brings it over, custom tune ads 20-30

Seems bang on

Depends if you have AFM model or not too. I have a non AFM which went from 210RWKW to 254RWKW with OTR and full 2.5" exhaust w/ 20's. My mate's AFM car went from 205RWKW to 245RWKW w/ 22's. Both autos, different dynos but both known to be honest dynos.

Your number seems slightly low... I'd expect at least into the 240's for AFM or into the 250's for non-AFM but every car is different.

HP/Kw is nothing but a number... the real test is how it drives. Obviously you're happy as Larry so I don't see why the figure is so important.

It does seem like a lower reading, but a Dyno is never 100% accurate, it's pretty much just a tuning tool.
All that matters is how it feels on the road, if you're happy with how it drives, I wouldn't worry about what a Dyno chart says.
