I just got SSV L76 back from a cam swap, I hadn't driven my ute in a while due to lockdown and first drive after weeks and bam! damn lifter squeak! After a bit of back and forth with my mechanic we had a Crow cam kit picked out, got it towed to my mechanic shortly after and he had it apart and back together in about 2 weeks, took a while for the parts to arrive and got the heads checked and shaved too so not the fastest cam swap but very happy with the result.
All up was about 6k for the Crow cam, DOD delete, shaved heads, dyno tune and a bunch of little bits ect.

No way I can get a brand new motor for $5500.. Doing my research and it is only about 20 hours labour???

Brand new motor has the same problem lurking with the DOD system causing lifter failure
