Have a 2010 VE SSV, I mad a left hand turn into my driveway the other day an herd a slight clunking sound. Later on that arvo I wanted to take it for a run down the street to see if I could hear that noise again. Shore as **** as soon as I turned left out of my driveway it made a louder clunking grinding sound. I took it straight back down the driveway an haven't driven it since. I have jacked the arse end up put it in neutral and rotated both wheels to see if I could hear any noise from the axel's or any sort of grinding sound from the diff, but heard nothing. Diff and axel's rotated nicely. So I'm wondering is there any other test I can do to determine is the diff shot or is it the axel. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Brad

Is it engine/transmission related? It could be steering or suspension components.

...diff!

my 1st VE SSv did that after about 2 months of getting it (brand new)
dealer service manager drove it round the block and ordered a new diff from Spare Parts when he got back

said it will get noisier until the new one goes in (it sure did!)
