Alloytec? It's this thing. Doesn't matter how small they are, they still wear.

Ill check it out...after trying to pin down when it is missing I reckon exactly its when you give it a squirt in 3rd gear you feel it miss ..the car goes alright but you feel some hesitation but it isn't very pronounced and no codes might take the engine cover off and check the leads/coils...might even try running the engine it at night to see if I can see anything breaking down

New leads and plugs will most probably see you right
Agree similar thing happened to my L76 a few years ago, plugs were fine but one lead had broken down. Installed a new set & all good.

I’ll check it out ....thanks for the advice
Ok so I checked the leads but what a mission to get them off .....I got one off to find it is aftermarket . Tried the next one and no amount of twisting /moving pulling will get them off the plug ...I actually tore the rubber cover/boots on a couple of the other leads so I gave up as I don’t have spares to replace what I break so I might get some new ones so I don’t make my car unreliable .I might try getting them off when the engine is hot with some gloves and a new set to replace them with.

Yeah, the boots just kind of sit around the terminal, they're not really attached. That would be a pretty good indicator about how old they are, and probably a good indicator of when the plugs were last changed. When you have a new set of leads on hand you can just use pliers if they're being difficult.

I thought todays spark plugs were bulletproof and rarely a issue...

Nothing is bulletproof. Here's an example of a acdelco spark plug gone bad .
