Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
Thanks 07GTS. Much appreciated. Just found the specs for the L98 engine, 90kpa @ 1000 rpm so 1 bar when hot at idle is OK. Quite a relief.yes it's bar
0 on the gauge doesn't mean no oil pressure. It just means the gauge is not accurate enough to measure between 0 and 1. Having said that I would be concerned too. When did you change the oil and filter last? What grade did you use? How many km's on the engine? I'd be connecting a mechanical oil pressure gauge and testing. Just for peace of mind. There's plenty of info on the internet to show you how to do that.Has anyone experienced 0 bars at warm idle before? I have noticed it happen a few times when pulling up at a set of lights, quite worried...
These are the figures quoted in the manual (with a warm engine):should have about 200-250kpa at worm idle depending on oil used, yours could be the calculation tho not actual would be worth checking they should have the proper sensor all gen3-4 do so if u can read the data just have a check to see if its same as being displayed
