I’ve bought a VE SSV and the oil pressure gauge seems to jump all over the shop.

0 - 100 - 900 Kpa.

mom assuming it’s the oil pressure sensor/switch. Any thoughts?

It’s supposed to progressively increase as the engine revs increase. If it’s all over the shop maybe the pressure sensor isn’t working properly.

Changed the sensor/switch on the weekend. What a cr@p spot they can it that in. You need to have the hands of a surgeon. And the clip on top is a bloody nightmare!!!

fortunately it worked back to regular oil pressure readings. Joy!

Tell me about it, just done mine. Hour trying with an extension mirror trying to get both hands in there. Ended up going to Supercrap and buying an inspection camera. Got it off in less than 30 seconds after I could see what was going on. Not the best camera but its good enough.
