So just found out the media buttons on the wheel (Which came with the GTS wheel) actually illuminate white at night! Much better than the standard SS ones and I had NO idea they did this!

Interesting as both my Series 1 and Series II had the buttons on the steering wheel which illuminate when the headlights are turned on. Can't see why your's didn't.

I put on a Genuine HSV GTS Steering Wheel i purchased as surplus from a dealer and it took me 22 mins to remove the airbag, change over the spokes/buttons and re-install it all. I did make a tool (modified a stubby screwdriver) which sped up the process but it was a cinch to do. Thanks for the guide OP.

    No pics as yet.

Decided to use the silver hsv spokes, just to break up the black interior, just changed the buttons

There is actually 8 screws holding the spokes/buttons on. 2 on the front, 6 on the back. Oh, don't use a T45 Torx Bit, use a T50, it fits much better and avoids the possibility of stripping the bolt head.

Far out, these HSV GTS/HBD steering wheels should be standard on all Sports models. They feel soooo much better then the stock ones.

Here is mine i did today.

You need to get the wheal backing, wheal spokes and new media controls. the media controls are the expensive bit, so i just made my old ones fit

This is all i needed to fit my caprice wheal so i think you should need the same stuff just made for the HSV wheal

    Hope that helps Omega07 :)

Haha no probs mate i had the same questions about 6 months ago :) what i did was just talked to a holden dealership and told them i needed the stuff to fit a caprice wheal, no mention of my omega :) Oh and it is not really a "kit" per se the backing is one single plastic mould and the spokes and media controls are sold separately.
