VE Steering Wheel - VY Commodore

& the tail piece from the ve wiring loom that plugs into the clockspring.
I didn't touch the mode buttons.
On the vf swc is the h/u. I have a aftermarket h/u that has the swc set up. So l was able to program the buttons, functions for the h/u.
The left side l didn't both trying to work out the cruise control. I just wired that function for another purpose.

You'll need a multimeter to help work out the functions of the switches.

yes its a VE clockspring. you mentioned that i need the harness that connects to the clockspring right?

Have you measured the vy airbag & compared to the ve airbag?
If they are the same size, you only need to carefully take both airbags out of there covers, & put the vy airbag into the ve cover.
You'll only have to connect the one airbag wiring on the back.
That will keep the srs system happy. No airbag light.

notyet, i havent got my hands on the VE steering yet. That might work though, ill definitely get back to this thread once i have everything.

just an update on the airbag exchange, yes the module is almost the same size as the VE, just need to cut off some bumps on the VY module then it should straight fit the VE bag and steering wheel

definitely wasnt straight forward. had to do some drilling and pressing. but here it is, VE pad with a VY airbag module

im still waiting for the VE clockspring, the cheapest i found on ebay was $100-140. since im not in the AU, i dont have alot of options on where to buy unfortunately.
