haha true, just not the biggest fan of black, imo tends to make alot of rims look the same.. from a distance more so

Yeah mate it is , atomic sv6

I also agree with the makes them look the same from a distance, orginally wanted the ve gts black rims but from far it could even look the same if i had my stockies painted black, but i ended up gettng black chrome.

The black on the new thunder utes are nice though , they are noticable from the distance.

But im going to go with the black on green look

Black track stripes, black tint, black badges, black rims and maybe the black stripe down the side

white on the blue looks damn sexy.

i still reckon old rule applies.... darker body colour = lighter rim colour, and lighter body colour = darker dim.

with the blue, i'd be going a light shade.... grey or gunmetal is good but definitely in gloss, not matt. and not too dark. but i'll say it again, damn..... white looks the shiznit with blue!
otherwise you could go a gold/bronze colour (like the wrx). blue with gold rims always looks the goods too.

hussy that sounds sick, look forward to seeing the result!! And yeah UFO white does look sexy but in the real world would it actually look like that? I'm seriously considering it. Maybe white with blue walls

I've seen white SSV rims on a voodoo ute near me - looks fkn sensational! The only ones in white I don't like are the rubbish 'aero' HDT rims - but they don't look good in any colour.

why wouldnt it bud? white is white... plenty of white rims out there lookin the goods!

only downside to the sexy white rims is keeping them clean. a gloss finish will make it easier, but brake dust, dirt, body parts from victims you run over.... it'll all show :).
same with black cars. look awesome when clean, but when dirty look povo.
all depends on how much time you have keeping things looking their best.

oh snap.... that was quick :).

no worries mate - with white, you'll really need to KEEP THEM CLEAN!!! (in and around the spokes, inside the wheel -everything! A good wheel sealant will help) but they will look amazing! And definitely gloss white. Matte white would look horrid in minutes!

saw this on facey kuz and knew there would be a thread! haha

ok so how do you feel about white decals on your car? ie badges and little details, like i said white would look cool, but soooooooo much brake dust will get on them and make them look like shadow chrome haha

im a sucker for black rims, but i love them, especially if you put blue tyre walls on them....keen to give that a photoshop try tinny?

Also, lol at the gold rims, looks like a wrx! the new holden impreza AWD

Honestly, don't be scared of brakedust - so long as the wheels are gloss and you seal them up, the vast majority will rinse off when you wash the car - you'll only need a light agitation with a brush with wash shampoo to clean them up perfect - I haven't used a wheel cleaner on mine in months. The only time I do is to strip the wheel sealant so I can reapply it. SUPER easy to clean gloss wheels.

Can I get the powder coating company to do the gloss finish or is that something I have to do myself? And what would I use as a sealant?? Just normal wax??

    Cheers everyone!!

Yeah mate, my sign writer has been away on holidays. Will get back to you soon

As for stripes, if you do the sides don't do the track stripes as well. Too much IMO
