VE SV6 clutch stuck on the floor

got a call from my interstate cousin saying he just did an emergency stop as a taxi pulled out in front of him and now the clutch is stuck down
what could cause this? caught on something? broken return spring? f'd slave cylinder?

maybe no fluid left in the reservoir. That happened to me once.

Just pull the pedal off the floor

Pull pedal off the floor.
It's happened to me in the past, clutch pedal literaly turns into a clutch button, makes for an interesting drive home in peak hour. (Chirped the rears quite a few times.)

Best get fluid flushed asap.
Never re-ocurred since fluid was changed.
