how about you keep everything in one post instead of 10 posts adding on to other peoples posts
i am not going to go through every post you have made to try and piece the story together
make a new post with the timeline of the symptoms and parts fitted

hi guys, any one solved this a C#%t of an issue yet?
So far replaced fuel injectors (genuine)
Spark plugs
Coils
Also fuel injector cleaner
The car drives fine and out of a sudden start misfiring shaking and smoking (white smoke with fuel smell) engine light flashes, then goes back to normal? Recently I came to conclusion this only happen when the fuel goes low! but tonight did it when the tank was over 3/4 full. I was planning to fork out the $$$ and get the fuel pump replaced, but dont want to go that route if it's no the pump.

codes are different everytime, codes are p0089, p0300, p0302, p0301, p0303, p0305, some times one cylinder pops up and some times 2 or 3 cylinders etc....
If it is a SIDI and your oil smells like fuel then it would more than likely be the HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) that sits at the rear of the engine. Most and I am talking highly skilled mechanics misread the symptoms and want to change coils, plugs, injectors and even the chains when it is fuel leaking into the rocker covers down into the oil. Causes so many issues from strong fuel smell to white smoke to just making the engine stall at idle due to lack of pressure on the fuel rail.

Legend! thanks for the input, to me replacing the HPFP sounds much easier then replacing the fuel pump! and probably cheaper! will give that a go.

Yes I can smell fuel inside the car.

I would have it tested first but then again sometimes the cost to have things tested is 3/4 of the price of just replacing the part so it's a toss up.

Tech2 can read the basic pressure and some cheap code scanners can also read the pressure.
BUT to test properly you need a fair bit of special equipment.
youtube is handy

This thread already covers most of the possible solutions. Looks like most of it has been missed.

Make sure you aren’t shopping for easy solutions rather than actual ones. All responses have been quite specific and were not show or explain why you can’t get entirely specific because actual tests, skills and specialised equipment are required to gather supportive data.

I never did find the root cause for mine, but on suggestion from a mate when it did happen I ran a can of foaming intake cleaner through it and that almost immediately cleared it up.

I've also switched mechanics and had the chains done and a bit of other work since so may never really know what the cause was for mine if it doesn't happen again while I still own it
