VE sv6 Rear brake light cover hanging

I noticed about a week after buying my ve sv6 second hand that the cover that is meant to be up against the rear windshield is hanging a few centermetres off the glass,
When I push the cover up against the window where it should sit the side of the cover where the actual brake light is located seems to flex which leaves a small gap on either side of the panel from the plastic to the fabric on the roof of the car which is visible when looking up at it from the rear passenger seats.

If anyone knows what is causing this or knows how to fix this if really appreciate any advice
It also limits visibility obstructing the rear view mirror
Also the brake light seems to work fine.

It should click into place when you push the roof lining upwards. You might be missing some clips or they have move out of position.
