Ve sv6 surge

I have a 07 Ve sv6 with a surge between 1500 and 2000rpm
Having trouble working out if it is a throttle position problem or a torque converter lockup problem
Does it worse some days more than others
Any one else come across similar symptoms?

I've been looking for an answer for a similar problem on my vz sv6 as some times it surges at idle. It will blip the throttle every now and again on its own to just over 1000rpm and drop back down to about 600-700 rpm when hot.

Throttle body might be a bit sticky ,

First step would be clean out the throttle body
