I dont know about the rest of yous but i cant wait to see the new SV6, Anyone seen any pix yet?
Yup, pics have been out for several days. Best to check drive.com.au, it seems to have alot of info gathered in one section relating to VE.
Here's the pics section
And here's the news section
All i can say is DAMN! the new SV6 looks mad, I love the dual exhaust looks like they got the idea from the monaro CV8Z
If only they had some hi-res versions of those SV6 pix
I love that dual exhaust, its like the subaru liberty even better
I notice the auto has the up/down shift on the actual gear shifter (like ford etc).
Does that mean that they have gone away from the paddle shifter on the steering wheel??:shooting:
I love the paddle shifting on the steering wheel - very easy to use and great fun. I hope they haven't gone away from it!!!
if its tiptronic styled, i reckon yes they would have gone away from paddleshift
Paddleshift isn't as fun as sequential tiptronic shifting...
But niether beats a 6 speed manual box... I LOVE the feel of really driving a car
The dual exhaust system on the new sv6 looks mad, also the interior is nice with the red dash illumunation, and for the a5 sv6 only $1ooo more then vz sv6.
They should do it like porsche with the shift. I believe they have upshift/downshift on the actual wheel both on left and right as well as at the gearbox
I actually prefer a blue dash like VWs and the 380 VRX.
Atleast it isnt green anymore
I'm with you - my SS- V is going to be oure 6sp manual - none of this fancy triptronic supersonic paddlewacking gizmo stuff.:w00t:
Hehe the manual purists
Well it does look like they have done away with the steering wheel paddles, just from having a lookski at the interior pictures on the net. Im not certain though...
This car is growing on me more each time I see the model lign up.
The SV6 looks awesome!
and finally no more green LED dash!!!
Oh and has anyone seen the new cost of a set of tyres for the SSV commodore??? ouch!!!!
I like the Green LED Dash
thats 19'' for you Just wait till it's 20"
Give it time, they are only comparable in price to what 17's were 5+ years ago.
Bit like DVD-RW disc 2-3 years ago i spindle of 50 was $129 4 speed. Now you can get 16 speed 50 spindles for $20.
Thinking my order will be for a 6 speed manual SV6 now... Sure a V8 would be nice but really... The first VT V8s only have 185kw and the SV6 has 195kw... That's enough for me
I was looking at buying an sv6 any idea what the asking price is?
