ve transmission shift problem

Did you remove the pan on the the transmission, was the fluid burnt ? or was there like a fine sand grit material or metal stuck to the magnet ?.

there was a little grit in the pan nothing to bad tho fluid was a little burnt but seen worse

Tech2 which you’d only get on eBay for us amateurs.

You would also be best armed with the factory manual.
don't have a tech2 but I do have a audtel scanner it reads most of the codes

The Tech2 will be able to isolate components and test their functionality.

Code readers can’t do that.

You can find one for around $400. When looking at lost time or even the cost of a couple of trips to a well equipped mechanic, they can pay for them selves quite fast.

yes I have been thinking about buying 1 I think I might do that and give it a try
it will be usfull for other stuff anyway

Replace the shift solenoids, worst case scenario you have two spare shift solenoids.
