Is not worth the cost and effort to put it simply. It's not like the old days. Trade it on a manual will work out cheaper and easier.

Yes but some people aren't very clever like that. I know I couldn't do all that. No way. And I'm mechanically minded I do all my own stuff. Actually I probably wouldn't have the patience.

that is true but sick of seeing posts about how can I do and what's involved and all people say is sell it and buy another...
there is no way in the world I would have sold my car to get a manual even if I couldn't do all of that.... the amount of mods done to my car to get it to where I like it and to find an equivalent pppfftt wouldn't happen

Thanks but i didnt ask if its easier to sell and buy a manual lol but as doubledip said id rather keep mine than just sell it and buy a manual.

Im more than capable of doing most the work myself, just the tune i will have to get done, but have someone that can do this
Was more after info on if anyone had come up against any computer/electrical issues with changing from the auto to manual seen as these cars have so many computers and electrics in them these days compared to the older stuff and if there were any parts needed that you wouldn't typically think of straight away.
The actual mechanics side wont be a problem.

Mate all I can say is , it is possible but what you will have to do as far as electrical is hit and miss on VE's. they all seem to be different

These are some of the things you may need

Flash ecu to manual
Flash bcm to manual
Flash abs to manual
Reconfigure instrument to manual
Bypass auto trans computer
Fit clutch start wiring
Fit reverse switch wiring and reverse lockout wiring

As said some may and may not need to be done

did all that with a mate in 6 hours
drove in auto, reversed out manual ;)

so I am quite sure if some one with half a brain sat down and planned it out they would be able to do it from a Friday night ready to have it tuned on Monday morning no problem..
