I have replaced a few Tailgate Buttons for a Jarcar Aftermarket buttons for a few JC members over the years,
as the soft touch buttons are a POS, on the VE & VF.

I think there was a post from a JC's member I did one for a VE Wagon.

the soft touch buttons can be a real pain. i've heard good things about those aftermarket ones @krusing mentioned. might be worth looking into if you're handy with that sort of thing.

I will see if I can find it once I get home to my PC, I have a Jaycar close by, I have ordered the locking mechanism a few days ago, should be here shortlyl
