One would just wonder why they would change them, I'll have to get 20 of the VX with the mushroom heads then, I'm fillting 16 x 7'' VE steelies with whitewalls to our oldschool VX.
May have an issue with the VE steelies as they have a smaller mounting hole than pre VE. With the alloys you simply machine the lip off to suit earlier models, the steelies may prove to be a lot more difficult than this.
Already machined out the lip and tig welded on a new lip, hubby tells me this isnt the way it was done instead he had new front bearing hubs machined and only about a mm was removed. Also the centre holes in the VE rims are not a perfect circle shape and the hub would have gone through on 2 side but not the other 2 sides. When he returned from work in 2 weeks I'll get a picture of the machining, they currently don't have the internet on site.
