I understand what you have said naf33n that makes sense. Filing the hole to correct the difference in offset will not result in a cirular shape unless you are actually drilling it out then fitting the 'sleeve' to account for the 2mm difference, by this time the difference will be more than 2mm as the holes are already 2mm bigger (than the earlier models) and your removing even more material, leaving for example maybe 3 or 4mm difference between the wheel studs and the holes. My main arguement i guess is it safe to do this and has anyone one done this before with good results? as I have never seen it done and from an engineering point of view it's not really viable for a lot of reasons.
