    Dear,

How recommended is engine tuning, My vehicle has completed 225,000 KMS and I was thinking to get it tuned but have my doubts on the gain in performance.

    Any comments ?

Not really worth doing a tune unless you've got some decent mods on there

Maybe look at freshening up the engine and get an exhaust and intake then get a tune

A stock tune wont give you much performance all it will really do is make your acceleration more responsive and your gears will go a bit better but when your ready talk on here there are a few users on here that do tunes and I'll be doing tunes by the end of march for older commodores like vn vp and vr

The stock program in the VY LS1 is conservative(225kW)... and a re-programming of the ECU will increase the performance of your vehicle.

Add some bolt on modicfications like a better free flowing exhaust, OTR CAI and tune will see better increase in performance. However you must find someone that knows what they are doing or they can kill your engine.... also if it's a Automatic gearbox make sure they can match the shift points to the increase power as well.
