its only done it about 3 times since i got the car, but its a definite misfire and only happens when the car is first cold started for about the first 5-10 seconds or so of running.

I would think if it was a vacuum leak there would be a constant rough idle at all times, there's no codes being generated either. Theres also no real oil consumption, the plugs stay clean too.

ideas ?

vs commodore
Check the purge cannister solenoid on the rear of the drivers side cylinder head. I had this thing fail on my VS (was getting error code 97 though) and it caused a heaps rough idle for the first 20 seconds or so when starting from cold. Would idle perfectly when warm/hot though, only did it when dead cold like when first starting it up for the day..
