VF Evoke
Hi all

I have a VF Evoke with a 3.0l V6 with 273000km. Just wondering is it worth it to swap it with a 3.6l V6? if so is there any issues that you have encountered?

Thanks

No. Would be much better off selling what you have and buying what you want. The electronics involved kind of make it not worth it.

Why is that? What's is involved electronic wise? Even if you had the ECU from the motor you're putting in it wouldn't make a difference?

The dash cluster and mylink are vin locked and there are probably other modules locked down.
The new ecu might not communicate with the bcm among other issues you might find along the way.

Its not impossible but it is something you will need someone with knowledge or you can do alot of trial and error.

If this is a project car, the why not go all in and do an LS swap ;)

Honestly, same problem. Actually worse probably because the platform is entirely different as you're not starting out with the same engine family. You have to buy so much stuff to do it. It's not like they're thin on the ground, sell what you got and buy what you want. Conversion done.

I know. I really don't expect anyone on this forum to be naive enough to take that suggestion seriously :D
