Hi Drivers side window is in the up position and I thought as all the other windows work fine it would be the switch the drivers side is the only window that does not have a second switch to try I bought a new switch and it is just the same does not move
Where are the relays for the windows ? are they in the door itself I assume there must be a relay and some sort of control module
should I pull the door card off and see if the motor works ?

I'm not familiar with the VF but all the relays and fuses would be in the fuse panel below the steering wheel, not in the door. Windows are controlled by the Body Control Module. Best to check that the motor is working first.

If it's the window that you use the most, it's possible that the brushes in the motor are worn or dirty.

I had a different car with this issue, pulled the motor out and cleaned the brushes and it worked again- for a while.

Our VE Calais had the motor to harness plug come loose in the door.
