VF Calais Mylink question.

Hi guys.
So my father just bought a VF Calais Sportswagon with the Mylink system (satnav not included)
Is there anyway to link Google maps from his samsung galaxy to Mylink so he can see/hear google maps through the system?
What do you guys without satnav in the Mylink do for GPS?

can't really help with the seeing part, but you could run the bluetooth audio through the mylink and at least hear it. Which of course means you wouldn't hear the radio or music though. Not the best, but an option at least. Also, JHP Performance parts in melbourne has a gps upgrade that can be done to mylink which gives you maps and nav in the unit. Its not OEM but is also an option if he really wants Nav...... Good luck

Ive got a Calais V sports wagon and its got sat nav so it may be the difference but just check .

Does a "base" VF Calais really exist without SatNav?

Base Calais doesn't have Nav standard. Factory fitted option. There's not many out there with it fitted. You do still get people who don't care about it or won't pay any extra for it. To be honest the base Calais is a dead model new. People just seem to go the whole hog and get the Calais V, or just buy an SV6.
