Never :), well there's been no signs of it getting around yet so it's still along way off, since no ones got any money anymore they will be stretching the VE out as long as possible. They must have sold a few now? I hope so because I like that 6 litre and I want it to be plentiful and cheap for engine conversions later on :)

2010 VF Commodore

Here is CGI Automotive guess on the 2010 VF Commodore.

Official images of the VF Commodore will not find their way on the net for another 12-18 months, but our friends at CGIAutomotive.com have already designed a Computer Generated Image.

Taking some inspiration from Holden’s Coupe 60 concept that was on display at the Melbourne Motor Show, the VF Commodore aims to differentiate itself from the Ford Falcon and Toyota Aurion.

Other items on the wish-list include

5-Speed automatic transmission for Omega variants and 6-speed for the rest.
The same Cylinder deactivation on V8 models as used in U.S. exports
Reverse parking sensors standard on all models (bar Omega)
What other improvements would you like to see on the new VF Commodore?

Aug 2010 from my information. As I posted else where the base motor will be 3.0L direct injection. Upper spec models get a larger capacity motor.

Here is an extract from the latest Go Auto News.

HOLDEN’S 2020 VISION
AUSTRALIANS will still be able to buy
a traditional rear-wheel drive Holden
Commodore for at least the next decade,
despite the General turning to small car
production to survive as a local
manufacturer.
Holden is already working on development
of the next-generation Commodore, which is
due around 2013 and would be scheduled to
run until at least 2020.
And the good news for enthusiasts is
that it will again utilise the Zeta rear-drive
platform developed at great cost for the
current VE, which was launched less than
three years ago in 2006.
The 2013 Commodore may be slightly
smaller than VE, and almost certainly
lighter, with a range of different engine
options and new technology designed
to make it more environmentally sound,
including idle-stop and turbocharged four cylinder
and six-cylinder engines.
GM product chief Bob Lutz has said
that, despite global economy mandates
forcing GM to cancel programs in other
countries, RWD Commodore production
will continue in Australia, including “the
next-generation version”. In the meantime,
the VE Series II is set to arrive in early
2010 with significant cant new technologies.

VE Series II im guessing it is the VF. But have heard they have alot of minor small issues with the VE they have to iron out before the VF. Those of us who have experienced the troublesome V8 6.0L 6speed Auto have apparently had the trans changed to what will be put into the VF
