Just wondering trying to figure out how to remove the crank angle sensor wiring harness as it doesn’t seem like anyone has done this or I just can’t find anything online about the removal of this

If it’s the same as LY7, it’s located up under the drivers side exhaust header toward the back.

Access is really tough. From underneath and requiring small hands with twice as many joints as a hand has.

Not fun.

Or remove the header/exhaust (for want of a better term on the LFX.

Yeah I’m aware of were it connected to the crank angle sensor but I need to remove the whole loom not the sensor as the loom has been chafed or stretched and need to replace it or fix it but not sure what else that loom is connected to or were it leads and it’s a very tight gap and can’t see the whole loom and can’t find anything online about removing the loom and not the sensor

You can download the VF Factory workshop manual. It only works as a download onto a Mac or PC. You can’t get the document to work via the links. Download the document. It’s about 3gig, so plan for it to take a while. Use something like Foxit PDF reader or Adobe PDF reader to view the document. Enable the side bar to navigate the document.

In that will be harnessing diagrams that outline the positioning of the harness. Quite a lot will have to come out of the engine bay to access it. The exhaust will be one thing. Not a simple straight forward job. Allocate a lot of time to do the work. The CAS harness extends along the bottom of the engine on older models. I’d imagine VF to be very similar. The factory manual will give certainty to it.

On older models the harness is pulled tight on the crank angle sensor. I don’t know why, I can’t see a need for it.
