Vf diff made in south korea?

The new 3.7 lsd diff i just purchased for my wagon is made in south korea,i thought the parts were made in mexico or the us?
What other parts are made in sth korea?
Just shocked thats all...

GM don't manufacture the diffs and ZF (who probably built the diff, but may have just licensed the design to GM) is German so I doubt they would really have an interest in manufacturing in America. There's tons of stuff that GM don't manufacture and buy from other companies (as do every other car manufacturer), I know the wheels are Chinese. Hell, there's a factory roof light that was manufactured by Ford that Holden bought and put in my VS. And even for the stuff they do make they have plants dotted all over the world in some pretty obscure places. Dunno why you're shocked.

It's a global economy, products and parts are manufactured where ever a company finds a cost effective solution for the regional market they're selling in.
