The head unit needs to be programmed with the VIN to match the car.

Do you want to do it yourself? If so, consider this product https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/obdsync-holden-programming-software.304700/

There are programming services can do it for you for a similar cost to the obdsync package. Or, if you are really keen, it can be done with a basic memory programmer but it requires opening the unit and a bit of knowledge.

I don’t want to spend $200 to fix a small issue.

Is there a way to access engineering mode or a way to input the code?

As far as I know, unless you have a mate with the required equipment and knowledge, the cheapest way to do it as outlined in post #4 by @stooge. That’s the way I’d do it myself, but it does require removing the head unit box and opening it up. You also have to have a suitable programmer (which are cheap enough) and you have to read the EEPROM, find the old VIN, edit it to the new VIN, and rewrite the file back to the EEPROM. Then reassemble the head unit and reinstall it back in to the car.

Or buy the obdsync, which only requires you to plug in to the obd port to achieve the same. I believe once you have license to change that unit (the MyLink) you can do other changes to the MyLink whenever you want. Definitely worthwhile considering.

Would a dealership work?

If I got the security code how do I input it? And what do you mean just swap the my link headunit?
These units do not operate like the older headunits where you input a security code.

The mylink headunit uses a communication method to talk to your vehicles computer and it checks the vin number of your vehicle against the one stored in the mylink.
It has to be programmed in using a tool or manually modified at the component level with an eeprom programmer.

Either way it will cost you to get it done or do it yourself.

Dealers wont do it, you can try but most of the time they wont do it.
