Hope your all living the dream.
I simply can't find the info needed guys,
"I'm interested in putting a flat bottom steering wheel on the wagon, will it be ok to put a paddle control wheel on a VF SS S1 Auto without paddle controls as standard although I have no intention to fit the paddles?
The paddle type are cheaper, or will I need to bite the bullet and fit the non paddle type?

I've found the paddle shifter, flat bottom type sw more expensive.

I think your question is doable.

I've got a vt wagon with a 6 speed auto (ve) & a vf flat bottom sw with paddle shifter, but haven't been able to get the paddle shifter to work.
Doesn't stop me driving it though.

There are guides to do it on this forum, which seems to be generally successful - other than the f**ing tight T30 centre screw. The wheel should look the same, but you'll be stuck with slots where the paddles usually fit in.
Best not to eat crumbly meat pies or pick your nose over these slots.

That's one Frankenstein VT wagon, do you have some pictures?

I just couldn't help myself, ended up purchasing a HSV platinum stitched wheel, lovely to look at and hold, "I just had to have one"

Don’t go outta your way, but if you think of it when in the car with your ‘phone, would you mind taking a photo so we can live vicariously through you? :)

Yeah for sure, it's the closest I'm going to get to owning a HSV as far as I can see with the prices as they are.
