I've got a VF wagon with genuine roof racks fitted

I have the correct key but the locks for the plastic covers won't turn, I doubt they've been removed since the car was new

I've tried putting some wd40 in the barrel but it didn't work

Any other ideas on removing them without smashing off the plastic covers?

Make sure you use the stick on the can of WD40. Put the stick inside the part where the key goes and spray so the lube actually gets inside the lock.
Then push the key in and out a lot to loosen up the wafers. This will hopefully get your keys to work.

Thanks for the help, I got them free. To any body else trying to free them up, the barrel spins inside the plastic trim / housing so lube up between the barrel and the plastic housing as this is were it jams up
