VF Calais V has fluid, sculptural halogen projector headlamps that are strikingly shaped and jewelled, with intricate internal layers, a light guide 'eyebrow', a hooded flash detail that runs down and over the projector and black bezel detailing. But the high beam is still a reflector.
Nobody will care as long as you don't put HID's in the low beams. It's really easy to tell cars that have had HID's retrofitted from those that have factory HID's, the difference is that one WILL blind you, and the other won't.
It's important to choose colour warmth of around 4300k for best vision. Don't be tempted to go for anything above 5000k. Above that, the light starts to turn blue and doesn't give very good depth. Whiter lights reflect off objects such as reflectors and road signs far too much which ends up compromising your vision because your eyes try to focus on the bright signs and not what you actually want to see down the road.
