People actually use that crap? I'd say learn to drive if you have to have a car that (tries) to park itself.

I've had mine fail before as well. It didn't hit the gutter but had me parked about half a metre from the gutter and on a weird angle. I think it failing looks to be related to the angle that the car in front is parked at. Having mirrors that automatically dipped when you park would be handy.

Another old fart against technology. Better get rid of cruise control, power windows, push button start, fuel injection.......

I'd agree with Raaaaj on this one. If you can't park your car then really you shouldn't be driving. Your extrapolation from one statement is just nonsensical and illogical.

I guess if you trust the car to steer for you, at this stage in the technology's development (ie, infant) you've got to accept the risk that it might get it wrong occasionally.

I had a wander around City Holden and noted that all of the VF sedans had a similar issues on the right rear door. All VE sedans in the used area did not seem to suffer the same affliction. I will be taking this further.

Mate you are missing the point it's not that people don't know how to park it's the convenience of not having to. People know how to use a pedal but use cruise control because it's easier

Yeah I know how to park, but if I had park assist, I'd use it here and there... and expect it to work.

    HI,
Just wondering if anyone has had there car lock with the keys sitting in it?

I was messing around with the hitch on the bag so had the tailgate open, keys were sitting in the cup holder, and for some strange reason after I shut the boot/tailgate went inside came back out it had locked itself.

Isnt meant to lock of the key fob is in the car.

    cheers

There was a recent software update to deal with that problem.

    Hey guys!

Just got delivery of my Black Sv6 Storm today. The truck driver asked me to go over the outside of the vehicle to make sure there was no damage.

As I looked over the car, I noticed 2 scratches on the bonnet and a dint on the rear driver side wheel arch.

    I was very disappointed.

I have only dealt with the Salary Sacrifice mob up until now, who should I speak to about getting these things repaired? Holden dealer or finance mob?

Also, being my first brand new car, how many km's would be normal on the odometre upon taking delivery? I had 47kms on the clock when I got it (normal or too many k's?)

Good news: great car to drive, has some get up and go for a v6. No other problems as of yet.

I'd be very upset about that.. Mine had 5kms on it when I collected it.

Not too fussed about the K's...just pissed about the scratches and dents.

Although, the truck driver was a young bloke and did have my car at the back of his truck...may have had some fun with it or the dealer.

With regards to auto park, I have tried it a few times when I have had time and traffic would not be affected by any need to have a second go. It has worked flawlessly each time, leaving the car about 15 cm from the curb.

I thought that it would be unnerving, but find it very easy with my manual transmission.

Speak to the same people you've been dealing with up till now (finance company). If you don't get any joy, contact the dealer.

But you need to take action and get it documented ASAP, otherwise they'll probably try to blame you for the damage.

If delivery was taken, they will anyway.

    I'd have refused delivery.

I would say the dealership has pulled that car from another yard. This does happen.
