What’s the chances we will be able to buy the required code and 3D print our own parts? ....out of carbon fibre or some type of composite perhaps??

That’s kind of where I was going with that post. 50 odd years is a long time,
Particularly considering how far we have come in the last ten or so. Absolutely anything is possible.

As long as I can still make 304KW+ and sound like a race car......bring it on!

Nothing logical. Although a flat battery can throw up all manner of gremlins. It was mainly because that is the only thing that changed.
Just this afternoon, the 25k avg started creeping down. It's now at about 22L for avg and best. They are coming down together, as you would expect. My hunch is the flat battery confused the computer and I think it's now re-learning. I could be 100% wrong if course.

Hi all, about to be an owner of a 2016 VF2 SSV, once the finance company makes payment.

I was wondering if the VF2 was affected with the foam air con drain tube seal? Is it checkable from under the car? Does anyone have pictures of the old vs new.

Thinking of stopping by a dealership to see if they can dig up through any records they keep but if I can quickly jack up the car and check it myself then it might be quicker.

    Thanks

    Alex

My 2016 VF2 Redline Ute had the drain tube mod done the last time it was serviced.

When I booked the car in the service fellow said the computer was showing my car hadn't had the fix and they would require it a bit longer or I could bring it back another time.

I said do it now while you've got the car.

I didn't have to ask, the dealership's computer automatically flagged it.

Jump on the phone and give them the VIN.

Same as Panhead for our 2016 VF2 SV6 Black...I was ready to mention it when the car went for a scheduled service back around Easter this year but they already had it listed to be checked. Needed to be checked from within the cabin on passenger side is what they told me from memory...not sure that it can be done from under the car..

    Hi all,
Got a fault on my VF redline series one.
Holden advised its "Engine oil pressure switch circuit high voltage" they quoted me $285 to replace.
Does anyone have a part number for this or know where I can get one. Not paying that money for what looks to be a screw out and screw in replacement.
    Cheers

Not wanting to go off topic, but nearly every part I've bought from Rares for my EK Holden is definitely nowhere near OEM quality. Most are cheap and nasty overseas manufactured parts that need a ton of work before they will fit.

No idea if this is the correct part but check out this USA part for $47USD (not sure about shipping).

I totally agree and to be fair it's not just Rare Spares.

There are other suppliers of remanufactured parts that target specific models where the copies are not up to scratch and require work to fit or my pet hate, the quality is sometime atrocious.

I'm pleased they're out there having a go as the parts they supply are greatly needed but when it comes to quality control some need to lift their game.

You can buy modern radios with USB, Bluetooth and such with the retro fascia's to suit some of the more popular classic models and sometimes that's more than enough for many enthusiasts.

Here the Superfringe radio look alike for an XY Falcon, it also comes with the plain face (no press buttons) and also in 8 Track configuration.

I remember the 8 track in my uncles Phase III as a kid. It was a big wow factor in the early 70's.

I still have a box of 1970's 8 track cartridges in the shed but the player fell off the planet many years ago, I hope whoever took it off the shelf has put it to good use.
