Sorry mate, infotainment system.
Couldn't find a dimmer setting?
Sensor is clean
On your dash, right hand side of the steering column, there's switches and dials there (changes depending on the car you have - like Head up display etc), I think its a vertical roller switch there that adjusts your dash board display brightness. Try pushing that up and see if the brightness of the display increases.
Yep. understand, I thought that only did the display in the dash and not the infotainment (nav) screen. I'll have a look
Thanks mate. That fixed it.
Why it went dim and stayed dim in the first place I don;t know
Have you got a manual car? Sounds like you've burnt your clutch.
Nah its auto.
Could it happen with auto aswell ?
Don't know, figured my answer was too obvious
Happens a lot in school holidays.
@Harry78 Was there white smoke in the rear-view mirror?
Nah wasnt white
burnt rubber in the wheel well?
Man of few words. A . will do just fine as a conversation for Harry78, especially during school holidays.
If it's less than 5 seconds you are safe bruz...
Sounds like the Confabulator, check this...
So im not sure if this is an issue yet or not...but I've noticed lately i do not hear the locking mechanism working anymore for the keyless start.
Normally when id unlock the car and jump inside and press the start button id hear the noise the steering column makes a split second just before the car actually starts. When switching off the vehicle and opening the drivers door id hear the mechanism activating again.
Now for the past week i don't hear it working at all.
I dont use my car as often as i did before so could this be causing the issue being left used for long periods of time?
Also had 6 months or so ago the random pop up msg of remote not detected (even though it would start up fine) but thankfully i haven't seen that msg in a while now.
So has anyone else noticed or had this issue happen to your VF/WN?
i have had the key issue. Solution was to replace the battery in the remote. Did not quite understand your first issue.
