From what I have heard inside is that the hsv range wont be over the top like the E2 and E3 are more of a subtle approach but still can be distinguished from your ssv variant.. All I can say for now is just wait for the gts to arrive.. going to knock your socks off ;)

Which is what HSV should be, E2 and 3 are just terrible on the outside - especially the nose.

Is that what they call it, I'd say its more of a snout - a bloody ugly one at that. Every time I see one I can't help but wonder if there was a Lexus parked out the front of the design studio at the time...

Couldnt agree more.. I have to look at them on a daily basis so i would welcome a less in your face car.. but standard engines and transmissions will carry over with a twist.. hsv chip anyone? entry level clubsport and r8 will remain. expect the gts to arrive somewhere september/october..

As long as its tamer regarding body styling to the current "Tokyo drift civic" inspired e3 range il welcome the new hsv range, boosted or otherwise!

It's just sad that so much effort went into the E1, subtle, muscular nose and those tail-lights and then someone decided to take the Clubbie out to the Mardi Gras or something.

I hope the VF can see a return to the earlier tasteful styling that made Clubsport desirable and differentiated it from SS and base in a way that you want it to be.

From what we can see, which is really not all that much, I think they'll go a subtle and tasteful look. I wonder what legal ramifications would occur if you did just rip the covers off lol. It would be worth a thought...

i found this somewhere... the rear splitter looks very HSV... i know of the SRiV badges... strange that unless they are going to to a falcon and put in a turbo 4 engine as well!

The Ford supercharged V8 is "advertised" as 335KW, but it seems most that go on the dynos read that, or more at the wheels.
So, Ford already have around 400kw+ at the engine. HSV(GMH) will have to do something special to knock Ford off the top rung of the power ladder.
They need the 650hp LS9 :smoking:

Transplanting a motor into an older car vs building an OEM car that has to comply with all ADR's and providing a warranty with it for 100,000km is a different thing entirely. I think many of the **** kickers seem to forget that fact.
