new cabin filter vs used cabin filter 2 years old.

Wow!!!That looks really bad for 2 years...Guess Melbourne's air isn't as clean as in Wagga Wagga. I installed mine last month, better check it in 6 months.

There is normally a sticker if the car is optioned with it...

I had a look the other day and didn't find any sticker anywhere relating to a cabin filter being installed so i guess i haven't got one in there.

It's a great how-to but the VF series 2 are different and imho a lot more difficult.

The metal work might be the same but the plastic plenum cover is different. The plenum cover on the series 2 (or maybe just the S2 V8 with the bonnet vents??) tuck in under the metal work on the sides of the bonnet opening and it's a pita to open. It doesn't hinge open like in the how-to link posted at all.
