Vf owners need your help!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone,

i have another post but dicided to start a new one, i bought a VF Wagon SV6 in December and from the get go i had this noise everytime i take off or reverse now in the for the first 3months they replaced the DIFF,TAILSHAFT,DRIVESHAFT,GEARBOX AND FUEL TANK, and the noise was still there.

Then in April they decided to replace it finally after taking it in and out of the workshop, 2months later they replaced it with SV6 STORM WAGON which i picked up on last friday. As i was gooing home i stopped at the set of lights and went to take off I heard the same knocking noise.

Now im putting up this post as today i went to Holden and spoke to foreman about the same issue i still have with the new replacement car and he said ever since he heard it on my last VF he said 2 out of 5 VF's they road test have that knocking noise, so i cant understand how the same car is made in the same factory same parts and some have the noise and some don't.

So can you all today, tonight or whenever you are driving your VF and are about to take off turn your radio down but once you hear it the radio can be full blast cox you can feel it also, but just let me know if anyone on here has the same issue, ppl are saying backlash from the diff but my old VF had two diffs in it with the same result plus i had a 20,000km VF Evoke from Avis for 3months and didnt hear a thing.

Just like to get peoples input or maybe someone on here can SOLVE the issue.

It's not the age old hand brake cover problem is it? That's so common and so simple to fix!

Or the fuel sloshing in the tank? If I pull up or take of, I can often hear the fuel moving in the tank which can sound like a thump or muffled knock sometimes.
A bit annoying, but I'll live with it.

I get the knock noise too... I was told it was normal as other vfs do it. If it isn't causing any mechanical problems I don't mind as I don't even hear it after a while.. all the rattles mask the knock haha

Found this on a Diff specialist site:

Noise: Clunk immediately after taking off from a stop
Cause: Worn slip yoke splines

I have noticed a knock noise when taking off if I do not switch off the handbrake. Remember it is an electronic thing and it will turn it self off if you do not do it. I am only talking about a few times as I usually turn off the handbrake but sometimes I turn it the wrong way
