    Hey guys

I have the high sports wing fitted from factory to my SSv sedan upon delivery. I want to get the black lip instead now. Is it a straight swap or it won't fit my boot now?

I was told by my dealer that you can not swap the spoilers over as they both have different hole positions and that the boot roof & bonnet are aluminum so you carn't just drill holes, "The only way is to swap the whole boot." Anyone else heard this?

apparently they did need a spacer (if i remember correctly) but it wasn't easy. it took them a couple of days due to issues grabbing the volume from the indicators, rear sensors etc. The amplifier was making them sooooo loud...very very happy with. And now tomorrow I'm heading down to C&A autofashion to book in for coilovers and full exhaust (power pack 6)

Two totally useless things which came on the Redline (and which I'd never have bothered to have order if they weren't standard):
    (*) heads-up display
    (*) keyless entry

I'm really enjoying these already, having driven the car now twice for a total of ~ 30 minutes ... no fumbling in pockets for keys when about the only thing you've got free to push a button with is your nose ... and as this is a replacement for our 20yo car & the other car we have is 35 years old, exceeding the limit & upsetting revenue cameras is really easy in the VF so the HUD really helps! :)

I'm enjoying my park assist... those beeps, lights and signals on the mylink display are a god send...

Can anyone tell me why there is a centre speaker on the top of the dash? (above MyLink display)

    Thanks.

I used to work for a high-end home theatre shop and the home Bose stuff is the same...you're paying for the name more than anything. Admittedly their home theatre packs sound ok for their tiny size...but then the Focal Dome pack sounds much better for similar price and similar footprint. I wasn't overly impressed with the Bose stereo in my VF either.

The likes of Alpine & Bose have been doing this for decades now ... I remember being a little wow'd when the ED Fairmont Ghia got an Alpine system, but then when you looked at the underside of the parcel-shelf the magnets were still tiny even though they were Alpine branded. Back then, Alpine & Bose & probably others wouldn't retail something as low-end as a manufacturer would fit to one of their "high end" models ...
I remember half of what little boot an FD RX7 had being filled with Bose subwoofer-related tubing ... but it didn't sound as good as if you bought some mid-spec Sony gear & installed it. :)

I can't answer fully ... except I looked up the workshop manual, and only one of the three "entertainment" setups has a centre channel.
My guess, and this is not founded in knowledge at all, is that when you get the Bose system you also get a centre channel (which is better for sound quality), but there's a grille in that spot in all Commodores regardless of which system it is.
The manual talks about UQA, UQG and UQF entertainment setups; I can't see any reference to which is which, or what's fitted to what, though.

Ok thanks... i'm thinking of getting it disconnected (as is does emit sound when the radio is playing) when i upgrade my speakers and add a sub/amp in the boot.

Doesn't the centre dash speaker do the phone audio?
Just check before you go deleting anything.

MY16 starts build in October. Most of the changes are to the V8, a few new colours will available, other than that very little change.

There will also be a price rise, but not hugely so.

Don't know who's this is, I stole it from insta and resized it so it's a bit blurry. For those with a Heron VF this is what it looks like with the rear diffuser paint matched. Looks soooo good imo.

The SV6 comes with a cop chip which makes another 25rwkw, couple that with the performance enhancing chevy badge and you're looking at a whopping 35rwkw over the standard 3.6.
